Difference between Original and Fake and prices on Coach Bags!
June 14, 2010 | In: handbags
My co-workers is selling small Coach bags with tags and they all come in there nice shopping Coach bag and are in good shape and brand new with the stitching leather label inside, she said that her and her sister got them at a Coach store in San Diego, But she is selling them full price; when maybe she got them half price; There is two prices on the tags which are (Factory: $119.00 & MFSRP: $138.00)
Which is the correct one? And how will I know if they are really the original Coach bags. She selling them and going by the MFSRP Price.
The few Coach bags that I have are gifts from my husband purchase from a Coach store, How can I compare my original ones with the ones my co-worker is selling? Can I go to the Coach store myself and ask then if its real or would I look dumb? Please any advice would be helpful I would really not appreciate that she is trying to make money of all her co-workers.
Thanks

You have to be a scumbag to buy a knock off, the only way you get a real coach bag is . . . guess what from coach. However where I live (NYC) on canal street you can buy it for $20 bucks maybe less if you want to haggle. But support the real designers, they deserve it

I live near a Coach Factory Outlet- which is probably where she bought the bag. I would assume she paid the $119- plus received an additional % discount. (Usually 20%- 40% off for merchandise that is out of season.)
The bag is probably legit, though you wouldn’t be able to find this bag anymore in a retail store or online to compare it.
I wouldn’t pay more than $120 for it. (She probably paid less than $100 for it). Sounds like she’s trying to turn a profit. But I’d pay her the $20 for the trouble of having to go out and front the money to buy the bags in the first place. And if you really like the bag, it’s worth the money. Coach bags last.
If the price said "Factory and MSRP" on it, it definitely came from a factory store. The retail stores don’t print the factory prices on them, only the MSRP prices. So yes, your co-worker is marking the bags up.
